I guess this is the blog equivalent of those sitcoms where the writers run out of ideas and have someone get hit on the head or whatever so they can do a “flashbacks” episode. It’s not so much that I “ran out” of ideas, it’s more that I’m a little fried from all the writing and working I’ve been doing the past few weeks to finish my book. The ideas are still there, they just aren’t coming out as easily as I’d like. I have about 20 blog posts sitting in the “drafts” folder because I can formulate the idea, but actually “landing the plane” and taking it from idea to finished post ain’t exactly happenin’ at the moment
1) The first “Top Post” is no surprise at all. It is, of course, the original post that started the whole Strong is the New Skinny movement: “Is Strong the New Skinny?“ That’s the one that started everything. At this point I cringe a little when I read it. My writing has gotten so much better since I wrote it. But, it obviously had SOMETHING going for it…
2) This is one that I did a while back that was somewhat off topic for me. It’s pretty surprising that THIS post is my second most popular of all time. In the post, I was asking the question “Is Bodybuilding Relevant Anymore?“ A few people freaked out about it because of the title and the fact that I had a picture of Markus Ruhl looking pretty tired slumped in a chair. If you scan the post, it seems like I’m really bashing bodybuilding. If you READ the post, you’ll see that I’m not bashing bodybuilding all – I’m just bashing parts of it and looking toward the future of fitness…
3) I’m not sure if I’m surprised this post was so popular or not. This is the post where I announced the SINS Blog Challenge. Over 100 people jumped into this thing and are blogging away. In fact, about half of those people STARTED blogs so they could do the challenge. I find THAT gratifying on a whole bunch of levels… BTW, the Challenge is STILL open – and likely ALWAYS will be – so jump in if you haven’t already!
That’s about it for now. I’m going to work on recharging my batteries here and I’ll…
