I’m currently living working and training in beautiful Old Saybrook, CT. As of this writing (7/11/2010) I don’t have a training location, but that should change pretty soon. In the meantime, I’m available for private lessons by arrangement and am looking into doing some group classes outdoors. Feel free to contact me with questions or for more information.
My experience and training is highly varied and eclectic. My current interest and passion is in functional strength and kettlebell training. I’ve been highly influenced by the CrossFit methodology and continue to be active in the CrossFit community. I’ve trained with some of the top coaches in the CrossFit and Kettlebell Communities and I continue to seek out training opportunities every chance I get.
I’ve also been involved in Martial Arts for most of my life and currently study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

My core training philosophy is that there are certain fundamental movements and modes of exercise everyone can and should be doing. I believe in a basics first approach and will drill and refine basic techniques continuously with those I coach. There’s plenty of room for variety, intensity and “the cool stuff” but never, ever at the expense of the basic movements like Kettlebell Swings, Barbell Deadlifts, Cleans, Kettlebell Get Ups and all the other great movements that a lay a lifetime foundation for training longevity and health.
